Basil Cranberry Sauce

Liven up this year’s cranberry sauce with flavor-packed Bowery Basil!

Ingredients
  • 32 oz. fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 oranges, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave
  • 1/4 cup pure pomegranate juice
  • 3 tablespoons Bowery Basil, chopped
Recipe Preparation
  1. In a non-reactive large saucepan, combine all ingredients except the basil.
  2. Simmer over medium heat, stirring often, until cranberries begin to pop – about 10 minutes.
  3. Continue to cook over low heat, another 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped Bowery Basil.
  5. Using a fork, smash half of the cranberries and mix or just leave whole.
  6. Season with salt and more lemon juice.
