A perfect beach day should mean clear skies, and clean oceans. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. It is estimated that 8 million pounds of trash are dumped into the oceans each year. To combat the waste, we headed to the coast of Montauk, NY this summer for a beach cleanup with Montauk Brewing Co. and Circuit.
We are so grateful to the amazing volunteers that spent their afternoon with us searching for trash. From metal grates, to hundreds of cigarette butts, we were able to collect over ten pounds of trash!
After the cleanup, we headed back to Montauk Brewing Co. There, guests enjoyed greens provided by Bowery and a Watermelon Session Ale garnished with Bowery Basil from Montauk.
